grants/ web sites
I would like to know of some good inexpensive web sites i can start up in order to do a better job of communicating to the people of Texas regarding legislation I am interesting in getting passed.
Also, where can I get grant money to use for this purpose as well. I need to do some intra state travel in order to work with advocacy groups and legisative assitants to pursue this goal

how about a free Blog?
many folks use free blogs to communicate to the public about issues, share links to websites, etc. this way you don’t have to create a standalone website. it all depends on what you want to communicate. if you want to “write a column” like in your local newspaper, but publish it on the web, I would create a free blog . check out this blog about how nonprofits can use social media and blogs to communicate.

Your could also set up a facebook page to talk to your constituency. After all, Obama used it to reach out and inform during his campaign. here’s an interesting article about how to use facebook. you might set up facebook for your cause
